1st Christmas Celebration - 23rd Dec 2006

I have always wanted a Christmas tree to add on to the festive mood of Christmas as well as have fun decocrating it. And this year i am all the more bent on getting one as its Darrell 1st Xmas! So me and hubby started "tree-hunting" from Taka, Isetan, Metro and finally decided on one from Robinson. The tree comes attached with lights so it save us the hassle of buying the lights. But we soon discover that having the lights attached to the tree is not as convenient as we think as it creates some difficulty in moving and setting up the heavy tree. Ornaments are purchased from Taka Times Square and Metro.

As this unresourceful Mummy cant seems to find any Santa costume in SG, i resorted to ordering from US which is quite costly. After the purchase i found out from Dor wherei can get cheaper ones in SG..sigh..too late...=P

I invited my family over for a mini celebration party and sis ordered from Marketplace @ Raffles City a xmas festive package which is stated as a 10 pax pack. However, we are really appalled and amuse at the same time by their large servings when we opened the package and felt it could feed more like a 20 pax! I had also ordered a Log cake from Prima Deli which tasted delicious! Ah Yee brought a smoked salmon platter from a wholesaler and yum yum! Mom made salad as well....SHOIK!

And as expected, we couldnt finish all the food so its "rationed" out to the guests to bring home..kekeke..

As for Darrell...he isnt in top form today..seemingly sleepy and grouchy and i think its something to do with the costume as well which is little thick and spongy for his comfort...
